What I Did For Halloween (edit: it's winning laurels at film fests!)
It's my favourite holiday because of the pretend. It's really good for us to dress up as the heroes and villains in the stories that we love. Very important. My creativity goes beyond simply wearing my tiger onesie all day on the 31st (although that is obviously pretty amazing) I also wrote a story, voiced the characters, edited it, and put it out there in the various places podcasts are found. It's called Whistlebottom - a trespasser's tale, and is also available at https://www.lifelabnotes.com. You can hear it whenever you like, as the story will still be fun and relevant even long past Tiger Onesie Day. Happy Halloween! Now go out and play!
Look! It's my very own podcast!
Stories that make you think, thinking that makes you laugh, laughing that makes your body release endorphins and increase blood flow. It's good for you, basically. Each episode is a different type of audio snack, if you will. Fiction, true personal stories, sketch comedy, maybe even a song.

Audio Descriptive Narration is the track you can hear on streaming services and in select theatres that describes the action in a movie or TV show. (And let's get ads in on it!) Have a listen sometime. Beautifully scripted, they seamlessly fit in with the story. Here is a partial list of the titles Silvie has narrated, through Media Access Group at WGBH.
Spiderman - Into the Spiderverse; Troop Zero; Late Night; Incredibles 2; Klaus; Abominable; Roman J. Israel, Esq.; Capernaum; Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again!; Cats; Seberg; The Rider; In the Dark (season 2); Young Sheldon; Blue Bloods.

The 2016 Audio Advent Calendar is still available for your summertime Christmas/Hanukkah fun! It's a secular, daily podcast celebrating the holiday traditions that bring us together, and the foods, rituals, and music that connect us. It’s a daily dose of comedy sketches, stories, poems, and music that is heart-warming, light, comedic, dramatic, and thought-provoking. It’s the podcast version of an advent calendar - like audio chocolate for your ears.
Produced and directed by Silvie Zamora, and recorded live in North Hollywood, it features the voice and writing talents of professional actors you’ve seen and heard in commercials, video games, TV, and movies. A few notables: Keith Ferguson (Disney’s Elena of Avalor, Duck Tales; Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends; Family Guy; Adventure Time), Lauren Pritchard (MADtv; True Blood; Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything; Stuck in the Middle), and Kiff VandenHeuvel (Bioshock Infinite; Star Wars: The Old Republic; Richie Rich).
The writing, the music, and the entire cast are superb, and each short podcast is a delight. Subscribe on iTunes!

Happy news for a team of dedicated and talented creatives!
Written by Silvie Zamora, THE CRAVING has been officially selected into the 7th Annual New Media Film Festival Web Series Category! I could not be more proud of the whole cast and crew who brought this to life. We were working with some brilliant talent on this project, from director of photography Steven Douglas Smith (Scary Movie 5; Industrial Light & Magic: Creating the Impossible) to special effects make-up by Robert M Bravo (The Sickness of Lucius Frost; Beware the Moonlight), to scoring by Francesco De Chirico (Citizen Clark: A Life of Principle). Produced by The E.A.T.S. Community (Entertainers Advocating True Sustainability). Check out their other videos on YouTube. Cast: Silvie Zamora, Roxy Shabestari, Steven West, Jason DeWitt, Valerie Long, Alejandro Diaz. |
